Why choose Mia Upkot for student accommodation?
Mia Upkot is situated in a quiet neighbourhood, so you won’t be disturbed at night by the hustle and bustle of city life in Ghent, even though you’re just a 10-minute bike ride from the city centre. There are also plenty of additional facilities, including a snooker table, spacious terraces in the communal areas and even a secure bike storage facility.
Mia Upkot features cosy kitchens and chillrooms on every floor. The building also has a secure bicycle storage area, a laundry room, a large, green garden and even a snooker and table tennis table. Mia Upkot has another bonus: the building boasts spacious communal terraces.
No, Mia Upkot doesn’t have its own study room or study café. But you can easily study with other students in the communal kitchens.

Mia Upkot is located behind Ghent-Sint-Pieters station; it’s just an 11-minute walk to the rear of the station, or a mere 5 minutes by bike. If you prefer, you can also reach the station by tram (T1), with the tram stop situated almost right outside the building. Ghent’s historic centre is also easily accessible by tram or bike.
The Upkot coach is responsible for the social activities organised in the building. Many public holidays are celebrated at Upkot, for example. Think of: a fun Christmas market, a visit from Sinterklaas, a welcome drink with all the students, etc. In addition, the coach also organises smaller, fun activities for the students throughout the year. Feel free to plan your own activities or organise something fun with other students.
