With a cosy community of 50 Upkotters, you’ll feel at home right away. It also helps that there are four shared kitchens and a snooker table & table football. And not to mention, a cosy garden.

Why choose Hey! Upkot for student accommodation?
Hey! Upkot is one of our smaller projects, which gives it a warm, family-like atmosphere. It’s also conveniently located next to UZ Ghent, and it’s just a 10-minute bike ride to the centre of the bustling city of Ghent.
Hey! Upkot has cosy kitchens and chillrooms on every floor. The building also has a secure bike shed. Plus, there’s a snooker table and a football table.
No, Hey! Upkot doesn’t have its own study room or study café, but it’s easy to study together in the communal kitchens.
The following campuses are within walking and/or cycling distance of Hey! Upkot:
- UZ Ghent: 0.5km
- UGent - Campus Ledeganck: 1.4km
- UGent - Campus De Sterre: 1.5km
- HOGENT - Campus Vesalius: 1.6km
Hey! Upkot is just a 9-minute bike ride from Gent Sint-Pieters railway station. Just around the corner from the building, there’s also a tram stop – specifically tram 3 – which takes you to the station in 15 minutes. You can also easily reach Ghent’s historic centre on tram 4.
The Upkot coach is responsible for the social activities organised in the building. Many public holidays are celebrated at Upkot, for example. Think of: a fun Christmas market, a visit from Sinterklaas, a welcome drink with all the students, etc. In addition, the coach also organises smaller, fun activities for the students throughout the year. Feel free to plan your own activities or organise something fun with other students.
