A laundry room, pingpong table, panier de basket, un jardin avec un coin barbecue, une salle de détente, … and 122 roommates. I’m Eline, coach of this Ganda Upkot crew.

Why choose student accommodation at Ganda Upkot?
Ganda Upkot is located in the heart of Ghent, but when you walk through the gates of Ganda Upkot, you feel like you stepped into a different city altogether. It’s a green oasis with a warm atmosphere. Don’t be surprised – there’s even a tree trunk in the entrance hall. It’s a modern student project with all the facilities you need as a student, from a partially furnished room to a basketball hoop, table tennis table, BBQ corner and green garden surrounding the building.
Ganda Upkot has cosy kitchens and chillrooms on every floor. The building also features a secure bike shed, a laundry room, a cosy, spacious garden with a BBQ area, and more. There’s even a table tennis table.
No, Ganda Upkot does not have its own study room or study café, but you can study together in the shared kitchens.

It’s just a 7-minute cycle from Van Ganda Upkot to Ghent-Sint-Pieters station. Just around the corner from the building, there’s also a bus stop from which you can reach the station in 15 minutes, for example on buses 34, 71, 76 or 77. You can also easily reach the centre of Ghent by tram.
The Upkot coach is responsible for the social activities organised in the building. Many public holidays are celebrated at Upkot, for example. Think of: a fun Christmas market, a visit from Sinterklaas, a welcome drink with all the students, etc. In addition, the coach also organises smaller, fun activities for the students throughout the year. Feel free to plan your own activities or organise something fun with other students.
