Buzz Upkot is alive and kicking! A comic strip adorns the walls of the building and defines the look and feel of Buzz Upkot. It also boasts a range of great extras, including cosy chill-out rooms and a lovely, green garden – even though you’re right in the heart of Ghent. What’s more, both Overpoort and Ghent South are less than 2 km away from your student residence. Ideal, isn’t it?
Buzz Upkot has cosy kitchens and chillrooms on every floor. The building also has a secure bicycle storage area, a laundry room and an outdoor area.

Yes, definitely. Buzz Upkot is just 1 km from Ghent South, where you can easily catch a tram or bus. Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station is also just a 10-minute bike ride from Buzz Upkot.
The Upkot coach is responsible for the social activities organised in the building. Many public holidays are celebrated at Upkot, for example. Think of: a fun Christmas market, a visit from Sinterklaas, a welcome drink with all the students, etc. In addition, the coach also organises smaller, fun activities for the students throughout the year. Feel free to plan your own activities or organise something fun with other students.
