Bro Upkot in one word? Easy: taaaaall. With 18 floors, it's the highest Upkot we’ve ever built. That means extra space for a gym, study café, a volleyball court and basketball hoop right outside… so plenty to do. I’m Iris, by the way, coach of Bro Upkot and usually found on the top floor. What a view!

You won’t often find Iris stretched out on the sofa. Rather, you'll find Iris at the pool, in concert halls, or even on stage at comedy nights. And at Upkot, of course! As a coach, Iris loves bringing students together. With food breaks, movie nights or a proper party. And always part of the fun: the legendary one-liners. “Shaking your belly? That’s basically twerking, just different.”

Why choose Bro Upkot for student accommodation?
Bro Upkot has no fewer than 18 floors! This makes it by far the tallest student residence in Upkot history, offering breathtaking views over the city of Ghent. The project also features a wide range of communal spaces. Think: a beach volleyball court in the courtyard, a basketball hoop, a green garden with picnic benches, a games room and even a study café on the top floor. Just imagine the view
Bro Upkot has cosy kitchens and chillrooms on every floor. You’ll also find a secure bike shed, a laundry room, a study café, a large, green garden where you can have the time of your life with other students, and even a gym.
Bro Upkot has its own study room or study café on the top floor of the building.

Gent-Sint-Pieters station is just an 11-minute cycle from Bro Upkot. You can also take various buses, such as the 48, 49 or 70, which will take you to the station in under 12 minutes.
The Upkot coach is responsible for the social activities organised in the building. Many public holidays are celebrated at Upkot, for example. Think of: a fun Christmas market, a visit from Sinterklaas, a welcome drink with all the students, etc. In addition, the coach also organises smaller, fun activities for the students throughout the year. Feel free to plan your own activities or organise something fun with other students.
Bro Upkot is home to 311 students. Despite the scale of the project, the building has a warm, welcoming feeling thanks to its many communal areas. Expect a lively bunch!
