Why choose Gate Upkot for student accommodation?
Gate Upkot is a stunning building in the centre of Ghent, where you’re sure to have the time of your life. Inside, you’ll find a study café and spacious, sunny terraces offering breathtaking views over the city centre
Gate Upkot features cosy kitchens and chillrooms on every floor. The building also has a secure bicycle storage area and a study café where you can revise with your fellow students or organise group work. What makes Gate Upkot so special is that it has several spacious communal terraces offering stunning views over the city.
No, Ganda Upkot doesn’t have its own study room or study café. But you can easily study with other Upkotters in the communal kitchens.

Gate Upkot is just an 8-minute bike ride from Ghent-Sint-Pieters railway station. There is also a tram stop just around the corner from the building, which takes you to the station in 15 minutes. You can also easily reach the historic centre of Ghent by tram.
The Upkot coach is responsible for the social activities organised in the building. Many public holidays are celebrated at Upkot, for example. Think of: a fun Christmas market, a visit from Sinterklaas, a welcome drink with all the students, etc. In addition, the coach also organises smaller, fun activities for the students throughout the year. Feel free to plan your own activities or organise something fun with your flatmates.
Gate Upkot is home to 75 students. This is a smaller Upkot project, which means you’ll feel right at home and get to know other students quickly.
